Anthem Missouri Medicare Sup plans have been approved for enrollment effective dates of 01/01/2021

Anthem Missouri has received approval of the rate action for the all of the MO Medicare Supplement plans, effective January 1, 2021. To ensure you are well informed, ready to sell and prepared for discussions with your existing clients, we are proud to announce that the Missouri Department of Insurance has approved the rate action for our currently marketed plans effective January 1, 2021. The approved rate actions listed below show the approved percentages for the closed and open marketed plans.
You will also be notified if you haven’t already of the Missouri rate approval and that they can continue to use the 2020 Presale Kit for effective dates in 2020. Marketing will send out a notice when 2021 Presale Kits are available with the 2021 CMS amounts.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION/REMINDERS:
MACRA (Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015) – Those individuals who are newly eligible for Medicare are prohibited from purchasing Plans C and F (Anthem offers Plan F). Clients currently enrolled in Plans C or F can keep their plan. In addition, we will continue to make Plan F available to those eligible for Medicare prior to January 1, 2020. Individuals turning age 65 on January 1, 2020, who can enroll in Medicare on 12/1/2019 cannot enroll into Plan F – as they are newly eligible for Medicare due to turning 65 on 1/1/2020.
Presales Kit – The Presale Kit will contain the 2020 Medicare cost-sharing amounts and the 2021 approved rates detailed in the Outline of Coverage and will be available soon. Marketing will send out an announcement through Producer Online News.
Online Store (OLS) and electronic agent tools such as Seibel, MADE and mProducer will be updated and the 2021 rates will be available within the soon.
